Etna Project

The Etna Project: New Hampshire

March 24, 2010

Dear Colleague:

After a hiatus last year, I am happy to announce another cycle of the Etna Project, an intensive working/learning opportunity that has been meeting in Etna, NH since 2002-2003.

Our setting (a small, rustic inn with great food and great innkeepers), the numbers (between 15 and 20), the collective experience (hundreds of years among us!) and the commitment (100 hours and not a small price tag) make for an ideal laboratory for in-depth, on-going, reflective inquiry into the nature of learning and teaching and how we can improve our work as interpreters, teachers and mentors.

If you've taken Foundations I and II with Betty Colonomos, have an interest in exploring interpreting theory, applying the work of Lev Vygotsky, engaging with colleagues in ways that promote self-discovery and learning, consider joining this exciting endeavor.   Participants commit to attending the sessions and bringing video or DVD samples of interpreting or mentoring work that is used in the work together.

WHEN:

Oct 14 - 17, 2010

Dec 2 - 5, 2010
