Celebrating our 8th year!
The sessions run from Thursday evenings at 8:00 pm until Sunday mornings at 10:00 am. Food is wholesome, delicious and plentiful. There are roads for running, walking, hills for climbing, even a tennis court. This is an announcement and an invitation to an intensive
working/learning group that has been meeting in Etna, NH since
2002-2003. There will again be a five session series from the fall of
‘09 into the spring of ‘10.
The setting (a small, rustic inn with great food and great innkeepers),
the numbers (between 15 and 20), the collective experience (hundreds of
years among us!) and the commitment (100 hours and not a small price
tag) make for an ideal laboratory for in-depth, on-going, reflective
inquiry into the nature of adult learning and teaching and how we can
improve our work as interpreters, teachers and mentors.
If you've taken Foundations I and II with Betty Colonomos, have an
interest in exploring interpreting theory, applying the theories of Lev
Vygotsky, working with colleagues in ways that promote self-discovery
and learning, consider joining this exciting endeavor. Participants
commit to bringing video or DVD samples of interpreting or mentoring
work that is used during the sessions.
