The BMC Events Menu lists the current schedule of events in a variety of locations, including the ever-popular Foundations of Interpreting Series and the Etna Project.

The Foundations of Interpreting Seminar Series offers a progressively challenging approach to text analysis and releasing form, beginning with consecutive interpretation into English (L1 for most interpreters) and moving through the series toward simultaneous interpretation in both English and ASL. Each module is a prerequisite for the next module. More information about Foundations can be found here: Foundations of Interpreting Seminar Series

Participation in the Etna Project Series carries a prerequisite to have attended Foundations modules I & II. The Etna Project Series is offered annually. Once the series is underway, you will have to wait for the next series to attend. More details about the Etna Project can be found here: Etna Project.

Since the advent of public distancing has derailed our opportunity to meet together physically, BMC has also ventured into the Zoom world for 2 final sessions of the current Etna Project. A pilot project for those who have attended Foundations I & II in recent years is now being offered online. Find out more and join us here- Foundations: Going Further.

While participants take advantage of break time to get outside in the sunshine and stretch, they continue to talk about what they're learning in the Etna Project.
